Enoch KIRK was born in Church Coppenhall, Crewe 4 December 1860. He was baptized in St Michaels, Church Coppenhall, 3 February 1861.  Enoch died 1930 in Crewe, at 69 years of age


He married twice.  He married Emma DODD in a Civil Ceremony at Nantwich Registry Office, 25 February 1882.  At the time of their marriage Enoch gave his age as 21 years and occupation as Labourer.  Emma gave her age as 21 years.  Both were living in Church Coppenhall.  The marriage was witnessed by Thomas & Francis KIRK.   Emma was born 1861 the daughter of George DODD.  Emma died 1888 in Nantwich, at 27 years of age.


Enoch also married Clara HOWELL Wolstanton, Staffordshire,1889.  Clara was born Chesterton, Staffordshire 1863. 


At the time of the 1891 census Enoch (31) was living at 84 Middlewich Street, Church Coppenhall together with his wife Clara (28) and their children Thomas (8), Salina (6), Herbert (3), May (2) and Margery Evelyn (9 mths).  Enoch gave his occupation as 'Gas Stoker'. Also living with them was a visitor, Evelyn Annie KIRK (12). 


At the time of the 1901 census Enoch (41) was living at 34 Bradfield Road together with his wife Clara (38) and their children Selina (16), Herbert (13), May (12) and Lucy (8).  Enoch gave his occupation as 'Stoker Gasworks'. 


Enoch is listed in the 1913 Crewe Commercial Directory as living at 34 Bradfield Road, Church Coppenhall


Enoch KIRK and Emma DODD had the following children:


Thomas KIRK was born in Church Coppenhall 1883. At the time of the 1901 census Thomas (18) was a boarder at 169 Market Street, Coppenhall.  He gave his occupation as 'Salesman, Boot Shop'.


Salina KIRK was born in Church Coppenhall 1885.


Herbert KIRK was born in Church Coppenhall 1888.
