John YOXALL  was born Drury Lane, Church Coppenhall 24 September 1820.   He was baptized in St Michaels, Church Coppenhall, 24 December 1820.


He married Ann LEACH Middlewich, St Michael & All Angels, 1844.  Ann was born in Nantwich 1823. 


At the time of the 1851 census John (31) was living at Wimboldsley together with his wife Ann (28) and their children Mary (6), George (4) and Martha ( 1).  There was also a a step daughter , Mary LEECH (9) living with them. John gave his occupation as 'Salt Maker'. 


At the time of the 1861 census John (39) was living at Clive Green together with his wife Ann (38) and their daughters Martha (12) and Ann (9).  John gave his occupation as 'Salt Maker' and Martha gave hers as 'Servant'. 


At the time of the 1871 census John (50) was living in 'Part of Clive House' together with his wife Ann (49).  John gave his occupation as 'Farmer of 30 acres'. 


John YOXALL and Ann LEACH had the following children:


Mary YOXALL was born Wimboldsley, Cheshire 1845.


George YOXALL was born Clive, Cheshire 1847.  At the time of the 1861 census George was working as a 'Cow Boy' on a 200 acre farm in Bostock.


Martha YOXALL was born Clive, Cheshire 1850.


Ann YOXALL was born Wimboldsley 1852.
