Isaac KIRK, son of unknown KIRK and unknown SMITH, was born in Haslington, Cheshire 1720.

It looks as if Isaac was born out of wedlock under his mother's  name of SMITH, his father's name being KIRK.  The entry in the parish register reads " Isaac SMITH alis KIRK, a Bastard, baptised 13th August 1720" .  Note: "alis" is latin for "otherwise".  Isaac could have taken the name SMITH in which case I would never have started on this Family History lark.

Isaac died 8 September 1793 at Winterley, Cheshire, at 73 years of age.

His body was interred 11 September 1793 Barthomley, St Bertoline. 
Extract from the parish registers of St Bertolines, Barthomley states: 

"Died 8,9,1793 - Buried 11,9, 1793,  CH. YD Isaac KIRK - Haslington - Age 73 - Blow from an horse hastened his death. - Pauper. No account can be obtained of his descent.  (ie. parentage)."

He married Ann Kirk (maiden name not known).  As yet no marriage has been confirmed other than the entry for Ann’s burial which states "Ann wife of Isaac". 

Ann was born 1716 and died 4th January 1793 in Winterley, Cheshire, at 76 years. 

Extract from parish registers of St Bertolines, Barthomley states:

 

Died 4,1,1793 - buried 6,1 1793. Ann KIRK - Haslington - Age 77- Dropsy- Pauper. CH. YD. Wife of Isaac KIRK - Labourer.

Her body was interred 6 January 1793 Barthomley, St Bertoline.

Isaac KIRK and Ann  had the following children:

Mary KIRK.  Mary died June 1746 Winterley.  Her body was interred 8 July1746 St Bertoline, Barthomley.

Mary KIRK was born at Winterley, Cheshire May 1748.  Mary died March 1749 at less than one year of age.  Her body was interred 16 March 1749 St Bertoline.  She was baptized in St Matthews, Haslington, 5 June 1748. Religion: C of E.  The Entry for this baptism was not very clear and will need checking.

Samuel KIRK was born April 1751.

Thomas KIRK was born March 1754.

Ann (Anny) KIRK was born at Winterley, Cheshire January 1757.  Ann died 1758 at Winterley, Cheshire, at 1 year of age.  Her body was interred 4th November 1758, St Bartolines Barthomley.  She was baptized in St Matthews, Haslington, 3rd February 1757.
